There was a time when pedestal sinks were the most fashionable and everybody had one. With time we discovered that, although they look graceful and beautiful, they‘re not the most practical type storage-wise. But that didn‘t make pedestal sinks obsolete. In fact, it made them more interesting . There are still a lot of interesting pedestal sink designs today, a lot of them being adapted to the modern times. They range from very simple to sculptural and eye-catching and each such freestanding washbasin has its own unique particularities in addition to the defining characteristics.
All three of these pedestal sinks and freestanding wash basins are part of a collection called Isole. The series is designed by Marco Piva for Lithea and it‘s been inspired by the materials and the history of Sicily. Marble reveals its uniqueness and elegance making each sink and basin stand out in a unique way thanks to the intricate beauty of the patterns.
Every bathroom needs fixtures and Rubinet Faucet Company displayed some colorful and cool options. From neon LED lights to brightly colored fixtures, they are all available in a range of colors. If modern and colorful isn’t your style, we found this retro fixture that would look great in any shower. The larger head, brushed metal and old-fashioned knobs are distinctive.
Some designs add more functional and practical than others. For example, this freestanding washbasin has a built-in handle which can be used as a towel holder. Its beautifully integrated into the design of the sink.
