Annette Clavette Interior, June 07th , 2017. One of the biggest misconceptions about designing a space is the assumption that it must be either timeless or trendy, with no middle ground. In reality, your rooms can contain both elements in a way that is both modern and budget-friendly.
Durandana Patenaude Interior, July 05th , 2017. When painting or wallpapering isn‘t an option, adding striped curtains may be all the stripe you need. Aim for rich colors and a floor-to-ceiling length that creates the illusion of taller ceilings.
Lorraine Duplanty Bathroom, May 11th , 2017. There was a time when pedestal sinks were the most fashionable and everybody had one. With time we discovered that, although they look graceful and beautiful, they‘re not the most practical type storage-wise. But that didn‘t make pedestal sinks obsolete. In fact, it made them more interesting . There are still a lot of interesting pedestal sink designs today, a lot of them being adapted to the modern times. They range from very simple to sculptural and eye-catching and each such freestanding washbasin has its own unique particularities in addition to the defining characteristics.
Pinabel Rouze Bathroom, May 03rd , 2017. Fleurco showed a number of compact vanities with a basin and storage. For a powder room or a very small bathroom, the vanity is designed to be very functional and compact, from the faucet placement to the storage underneath.
Roger Barjavel Bathroom, June 21st , 2017. Smaller bathrooms were a focus for many vendors like Zitta, who showed this shorter tub that still offers a deep soaking experience. The headrest at the tall end makes it extra comfy. Keeping one end tall and thin, and the other attached to the corner for the fixtures helps make the most of a smaller bathroom space.
Guillaume Goguen Bathroom, May 17th , 2017. Vertical black stripes will be emphasized the most when they are combined with white vertical stripes. Break up the rigid structure of straight stripes with some chic rounded accents – an ornate framed mirror, for example, or a curvy vanity in high-gloss black, for example.
Guillaume Goguen Outdoor, July 01st , 2017. When you picture your dream home, does it have a white picket fence? It has become somewhat of an American dream – a little suburban house with a white fence that gives the outdoors a charming look and clearly says home. Such a fence is perfect for traditionally built houses and newer, more modern houses as well. Check out this roundup of homes with a white picket fence for inspiration. The white picket fence immediately pops into our head when we think of “classy domestic lifestyle.” It’s such a traditional feature that represents the good family life, either in the suburbs or the countryside. The bright color of the fence marvelously accompanies the pastel tone of the house’s exterior and its white trim. It’s obvious this color palette is harmonious and stunning.
Brigitte Dupuis Outdoor, June 01st , 2017. This viewing platform by Austrian architect Zamp Kelp, was created for the EXPO 2000 in Hanover, Germany. Curiously sited on the border of an old quarry, the platform juxtaposes a statuesque staircase made using quarry stone with a spectacular cantilevered glass and steel platform. Architectural studio Cooke Fawcett designed a 3.5-metre-wide and thirty-two-metre-long raised platform, that spans the width of a multistorey car park in Peckham, south-east London. Sited on the car park’s rooftop deck, the elevated steel and hardwood timber promenade was completed this year. Called the Peckham Observatory, it offers views across the London skyline as well as the capital’s much overlooked southern neighbourhoods.
Durandana Patenaude Bathroom, May 26th , 2017. Although the bathtub is not present in this bathroom setup, it’s not hard to see the effectiveness of using black metal grating as a privacy screen for the bathroom. This particular pattern is a modern twist on the timeless penny tile pattern, which earns it two thumbs up, hands down.
Amorette Rancourt Interior, June 15th , 2017. One of the easiest ways to create a modern look in your bathroom is by largely sticking to a monochromatic color scheme. This classic combo looks sleek and sophisticated, and never goes out of style.
